El premio a quien me derrote: Casablanca 70th Anniversary Edition |
Entre los grandes rechazados se encuentran una vez más Leonardo DiCaprio y Quentin Tarantino ("Actor de Reparto" y "Director", respectivamente) por Django Unchained, al igual que otros cineastas como Kathryn Bigelow (Thirty Dark Zero), Ben Affleck (Argo) y Tom Hooper (Les Misérables). Eso sin mencionar a los blockbusters más importantes del año como The Avengers, Prometheus, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey - considerados únicamente para las categorías técnicas - y The Dark Knight Rises que fue completamente ignorada.
La cinta que lidera esta edición número 85 de los Premios Oscar es nada más y nada menos que Lincoln de Steven Spielberg, con un total de 12 nominaciones, incluyendo las más importantes a Película, Director, Actor y Actores de Reparto (como siempre mi voto será para Daniel Day-Lewis, de quien he estado enamorada desde The Last Of The Mohicans ♥), le siguen muy de cerca Life of Pi de Ang Lee con 11 menciones, The Silver Linings Playbook de David O. Russell y Les Misérables, ambas con 8.
Particularmente me dio mucho gusto ver nominados a Joaquin Phoenix y Philip Seymour Hoffman por The Master, ya que lo predije en mi post del Festival de Morelia. Dicen por ahí que Phoenix fue el único actor que se negó a hacer campaña para promover su nominación... la obtuvo de cualquier forma, así que ya se imaginarán el nivel de interpretación.
Otra grata sorpresa se dio en la categoría de "Mejor Película Extranjera", pues una de las cintas que elegí en mi Top 10 del año resultó elegida para contender. No, del chileno Pablo Larraín y estelarizada por Gael García Bernal, se enfrentará a la gran ganadora del Festival de Cannes: Amour de Michael Haneke (Austria).
Finalmente, una de las batallas que me tiene más ansiosa es la de "Mejor Cinematografía", en la que estarán compitiendo tres titanes: Robert Richardson (Django Unchained), Roger Deakins (Skyfall) y el maestro de maestros: Janusz Kaminski (Lincoln); sin embargo, encontrarán un enorme rival en Claudio Miranda por Life Of Pi, quien probablemente será el caballo negro.
Para ponerle emoción al asunto les dejo mi quiniela aquí mismo, si alguien gusta retarme puede darle copy-paste a la lista, señalar a sus favoritos y postearla en los comentarios. Obviamente las de short films y documentary las elegí al azar. A ver qué tal!
UPDATE: Vamos a poner más interesante todo esto... Quien me derrote en la quiniela se ganará la flamante edición 70 Aniversario de Casablanca. Qué dicen!?
